I have a daughter who started law school, and a daughter who started preschool. In the same week.

Near as I can tell, this is the only meaningful thing I have in common with Billy Joel, who at age 69 has a 31-year-old daughter, along with two girls under age four. Did he “start over,” or is this just the latest chapter in his life’s story?

I’ve no idea, but I’m betting he understands at least a little about “Paw Patrol” about now, which is nothing anyone over age five should even know exists. But there you have it.

As a 56-year-old dad of two Millenials and two toddlers, the thing I hear most often — after people finish thinking, “This guy is legit insane” — is something along the lines of, “Well, those babies must keep you young!”

Well, no they don’t. I’m aging at the same rate, thanks very much. But I’m too exhausted to worry about it.
